Honey Mustard Chicken
Quick and easy on the table meals that are ready in 30 minutes! Tender and juicy chicken breast smothered in a creamy, tangy, and sweet homemade honey mustard sauce. This is one recipe that the kids will be back for more.
INGREDENTS》
2 large chicken breasts, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, diced
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs butter, divided
1cup chicken broth
2 tbs Dijon mustard
2 tbs Mareeba Raw Honey
1 cup cream, pure or thickened
2 tbs corn flour
Salt& pepper
1 tps garlic power
Veggies of your choice, I made mash potato and steamed beans.
INSTRUCTIONS》
Prepare your chicken slicing into strips for even cooking.
Sprinkle them with garlic powder, salt & pepper and corn flour, toss together to coat.
Heat the olive oil and one tablespoon of the butter in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
Once the pan is hot, add the chicken pieces and cook them until they're golden.
Reduce the heat if the pan starts to splatter. Remove once the chicken is lighty browned and set it aside.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the rest of the butter, the chicken broth, dijon mustard and the honey, stir till combined.
Return the pan to a medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes, make sure the liquid doesn't reduce by more the half.
Add the cream. Taste to adjust the flavour in needed (more honey or mustard) once the sauce is bubbling again, add the chicken back in. Let it cook for 5-10 minutes or until the sauce is reduced to your liking.
Prepare you sides while the sauce simmering.
